Curriculum Vitae:

Mohammad Tamannaei was born in Isfahan, Iran, in 1986. Dr. Tamannaei is an associate professor of Transportation Engineering at Isfahan University of Technology (IUT), Iran. He enjoys collaboration with the transportation-related industries to address challenges arising in practice. His research interests include optimization, applied game theory, transportation policy making, transportation network design, intelligent railway transportation, and sustainable supply chains. He has published several publications in the mentioned areas. His research has appeared in some top-tier journals, like Transportation Research Part B, IEEE Transaction on Intelligent Transportation Systems, Networks and Spatial Economics,  etc.

He received the B.Sc. degree in Civil (Structural) engineering, and the M.Sc. degree in Road and Transportation engineering, from the Department of Civil Engineering, Isfahan University of Technology (IUT), in 2008 and 2010, respectively. He won the first rank between the master students in that department. By getting the Talented Students Quotas, he started a doctoral education in Road and Transportation engineering from the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department, Tarbiat Modares University, Tehran, Iran, in 2011. He achieved a Ph.D. scholarship from IUT from 2013 to 2015. Dr. Tamannaei received his PhD degree in 2015, and since then, he has been working at the Department of Transportation Engineering, IUT, as a lecturer and university professor. Also, he is the deputy of Research and Educational Affairs in the department, since 2019. Dr. Tamannaei is also the principal investigator of the current research project entitled “Optimal Design of Iranian Railway Transportation Network for the Next 20-year Horizon”, sponsored by the Iranian Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.
